I am just back from Kris' wedding dinner, a decidedly fun and touching affair.

Over dinner, I caught up with some of the HH-ers who made it to the wedding. The amazing thing is, hardly anyone appeared to have aged. Time seemed to have stood still for us. I can still picture us, as we are today, doing our crazy weekend hanging out every week, which we did for a good couple of years 10 years ago.

Apart from that, most of our lives seem to have also stood still in terms of milestones. Collectively, we have made very little progress. It took a good 5 to 6 years for 20% to get married, 10 years for another 10% to get married while the rest of us don't feel the urgency to move on, either to settle down or have a child. And among us, only 10% (yes, 1 person) has actually proceeded to have a child last year, 9 years later.

We are actually a good focus group for the government in understanding the ways and minds of the young and more mature adults these days. In our group of 11 educated adults from various walks of life, only 3 married (including the 1 today) and of the 3, only 1 has child. And 2 have moved to be PR in other countries, including of 1 of the 3 married folks. Ask us why we don't feel the desire to settle down and have children, and perhaps policies more practical than 4 months maternity leave may develop and serve its purpose.

Government policy aside, I look forward to seeing where we end up over the next 10 years. :)

I'm posting this while sitting in a hair salon getting my overdue hair colouring and trim. Wish that it's Sat instead of Sun but I suppose I'm just being greedy. Especially when I'm already lucky enough to be in a line of work I love.

I still have tons of work to do after working past midnight on a Saturday this weekend, thanks to mad clients and dramatically lack of resources in the office, but my brain simply cannot function any more. Decide to distract myself with photos of work stimulants.

Unhealthy junk food that taste good at first bite but makes us feel ill thereafter.

Love the never ending supply of wine and champagne in our office wine bar.

But sometimes, it's just easier to open a can of beer.

I've been so tired that my mind just switches off once i step out of the office. So what happens? I see cab on call and jump in without looking at license plate while thinking of cab number in my head. Total disconnect. So now my called cab and this cab's caller have been left stranded...

My hair is either getting really long or I'm losing more hair these days. It's not funny to see the amount of hair in my hands each time I shampoo/condition.
