What I've missed so far, exactly 14 days after coming home: looking out my kitchen window while waiting for water to boil, speaking my half-baked Cantonese, and most of all, the proximity to Hong Kong. It's odd. I never thought that I'd actually miss Hong Kong but I do. Maybe it's because it's no longer as easily accessible...

Met up with Cheryl and Min for lunch today, and between the 3 of us, we ordered a Coke Zero, Coke Light and Coke Classic. I was quite amused at the sight of the cans of different types of Coke on the table. Diversification works!

There really isn't much to say, only that I've been swamped with unpacking, packing and getting my life here back in order while trying to adjust to working in a new environment again. It's been so tiring that I have not even transferred or looked at the photos from the holiday. I have a feeling that by the time I can breathe a little easier, I would have already forgotten about the interesting little holiday incidents. Sigh.

I feel old and tired. On so many different levels that it's causing pause for thought. Lots of it. Suffice to say that I've gotten to know the current me -- versus the fresh-eyed and enthusiastic girl who stepped into the working world 10 years ago -- and my wants a lot better. Yes, this 4-week holiday is a celebration of sorts to mark 10 years of working, post graduation.

And the "funny/apt" thing is, I accepted a job offer in Singapore just 1 day into my holiday while in Rome and so my mind's been so distracted by the excitement of the new job that I've not given 100% to the holiday. But then the holiday itself really didn't quite deserve 100% of my attention. It's a very long story. I will write about it when I return.

Now, I'm looking forward to a hot meal of breakfast/brunch that Ros preparing before we head out to London city center for tea and "Sound of Music" musical tonight! Oh, and not looking forward to the packing for my flight home tomorrow...
