I hope that it is more a sign of fatigue than old age that I should find the most delightful moments of my Christmas/New Year holiday to be those spent away from the crowds.

Behind Coloane Village, perfect for a lazy afternoon stroll back through time.

Hours later, at Hac Sa Beach. Would have made it there on foot but mum was so miserable and freaked out by the one-hour plus walk through the winding deserted roads that sis and I relented and took a bus at Cheoc Van for the rest of the journey.

And the black sand. Like that lah. To me it was just another beach, the colour of the sand insignificant.

The most memorable of Hac Sa is enjoying a pork chop bun or some bbq food at the little tables by the beach.

And right now, what I'm dying for is some real R&R at a beach resort. I am truly very tired.
