For all my work smarts, I am a complete ignoramus when it comes to the personal aspects. Like how to treat scraped knees.
Took a bad tumble a couple of days ago when my heel went into a hole on the gravelled road. The wounds were nasty. And what did I do? Washed the wounds and plastered band-aids over them.
BIG MISTAKE. The only thing that I got right was to wash the wounds. Plasters? Big fat no. Apparently, I am supposed to keep them dry. It didn't occur to me until I got frustrated with the wounds oozing clear pus from time to time. What on earth? Oh, maybe I'm supposed to keep them dry.
Checked with Do, and yes, that is what I am supposed to do. And so it is what I am doing now while testing the natural healing capabilities of a 30-plus body.
