Pork chop bun.
Never heard of it till I was coming to Macau, and at least two Singaporean friends raved to me, on separate occasions, about this one famous 45-minute queue stall.
So when Pegs said that she wanted to eat pork chop bun on her Macau trip last weekend, I asked my colleague about this 45-minute queue stall. But he surprised me with his reply -- "no no, that is over-rated, the best is at Hac Sa beach in Coloane". Oh. Ok. Must be the local insight vs tourist herd instinct.
And so, last Sunday, us 3 Singaporean girls went in search of the popular pork chop buns at Hac Sa beach, and found this.

Story to be continued. Very hungry now, no brainpower to think...

Now days after, I'm so consumed by work that my brain still has no capacity to continue this story. But I do not give up. I try, and here's the rest of it!

Cabbie dropped us in front of this store, right beside the famous Fernando's. It was the only store that proclaimed "Pork Chop Bun". Darn, aren't there supposed to be many? Did a quick look around, nothing. Unsure whether we got to the right place but we were hot and tired, and decided to just eat here.

Silly boo boo. Didn't know that pork chop buns were so huge!!! I thought they were like our white-skinned pork buns. So
kia-su me ordered two as Pegs stared at me in wonder. I was very sure and insistent to her "are you sure?"s. Until the buns came and I nearly fell off my chair at how huge they were. Hello, it's a full sandwich! What bun???
Anyway, thought of giving the extra to one of the nearby dogs but was scolded by Cheryl and Pegs for being wasteful, so the three of us split that extra among us.
And then we saw this!

Aiyaya! We saw this row of stalls barbequing pork chop buns only when we walked to the beach after stuffing ourselves full of pork chop buns and chicken wings (plus noodles for Cheryl and Pegs). Right! So this must be where my colleague was talking about. I was too full to eat anymore but Cheryl insisted that we must try at least one. Couldn't persuade her and so we bought one more to share.
Five pork chop buns between us 3. OK lah, actually, Cheryl ate most of it. :p
And finally, the Black Sand beach that Macau is famous for. Really black.
