Wanted to leave the house earlier so that I can spend some time reading and drinking coffee at the Starbucks at Valley Point but then I got sucked into changing the template for this blog and the next thing I know, I have just enough time to shower and get myself over there just in time for the hot yoga class.
I'm not done with this template yet. Will someone leave me a comment -- don't really want to leave myself a comment saying "test" -- so that I can start working on how the comments look? Thanks! :D
Already wrote about this on my Chinese blog and it's a little silly to repeat it here but this blog is looking so pathetically empty...
Had an almost perfect little first weekend. Apart from finding out that my nails are now terribly weakened after giving in to the China spa's staff persistent suggestion last weekend that I try the new crystal acrylic nails in a bid to finish spending all the amount of money I've deposited (non-refundable) when I first joined. Big mistake. Yes, I rushed them to finish the 1.5 hour job in 1 hour as I was running late for dinner at my boss' place but then again, they did not seem that professional. I had half a mind to cancel it but somehow didn't. The job was so coarsely done that I hated it and went to mani-pedi at Boat Quay to remove it on Friday.
Imagine my horror when they told me that acrylic nails weaken my nails which were really quite healthy then, and are much thinner now. I was mega-upset! I think that it would only be fair for the girls at the spa to have told me that before suggesting that I do the acrylic nails. Argh!

My badly done acrylic nails
Anyway, after spending 1.5 hours removing the nails and another hour doing up a mani job to cover the terrible way they look, I went for dinner with a couple of friends at Lagnaa, a little barefoot Indian dining place that I like.

Spent the night at their place after that, watching bits of Spiderman 2 and Survivor: Fiji. Wanted to go to Video Ezy to rent a movie but one of them wasn't feeling so well and needed the loo (might be the curry) so we decided to make do with what was on TV instead.
It was nice to just hang around. Their dog, whom I had not seen in years, actually remembered me and kept wanting to hump my leg. Of course, I couldn't help teasing him as well... :p
Next morning, it was on for more Indian food with a roti prata breakfast at Little India.

We went for hot yoga later in the afternoon at the newly opened Absolute Yoga studio at Valley Point and I loved the place. Although I very nearly died in the heat during the 90minute session, I still liked it. In fact, we're going back again this evening for a less ambitious 60minute class.
Exercise = hungry after that. We went to Great World City to try out this little gourmet cafe that they passed by earlier in the week. Hmmm, great decor but terrible food. Never coming back.
